Activision: no LEGO Indy demo for consoles
But the PC version is out now.
Activision has told Eurogamer there will be no console demos for LEGO Indiana Jones.
The only way you'll be able to give it a twirl before release is on PC, then, for which a demo is already alive and whipping; pop over to the official site to grab it.
LEGO Indiana Jones re-tells the stories of the first three Steven Spielberg films: Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Temple of Doom, and the Last Crusade.
Like the LEGO Star Wars outings, developer Traveller's Tales will be piecing it together with a liberal sprinkling of humour and puzzle solving, which usually turns out to be brilliant for children like me or adults like you.
There are no Force powers in this, obviously, so you will be swishing your whip to swing across gaps and flick switches. You'll also get to do plenty of brawling where you will be able to pick up bottles and smash them, Hollywood-style, across the heads of your enemies.
TT is promising around 60 familiar faces from the cult adventure films to collect, and you can swap LEGO torsos and legs to make your own Indiana Jones hybrids.
LEGO Indiana Jones is coming to Xbox 360, PC, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and DS on 6th June. Check out our recent hands-on for more details.
The upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull film comes out next Thursday, 22nd May.

What is buggy about it? I completed the demo without running into any problems. You do not really need a demo either, if you liked Lego Star Wars you will like this, if you didn't then you wont. Simple as that (unless you just didn't like the sci-fi setting) really.

I want Batman more anyway. This is disappointing as the Star Wars games were excellent, i hope this is a case of spending more time on the game than a demo but why do a PC demo?! Very strange indeed. o_0

I want to play the demo...is that okay with you?

Sometimes it runs with all black background and almost wireframe characters.
Sometimes it has noise/ snow in bands across it, rendering it unplayable.
Sometimes it just won't even start, and it tries to log a message to Msoft after dumping to desktop.
Sometimes it works just fine.
That's 'buggy' in my book.

Very similar to the Star Wars games though, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you were tired of those..

Rare or not, it's happening to me, unlike with all other demos.
= buggy
