Thomas Was Alone out on PS4, Xbox One and Wii U Nov 2014

Next-gen rectangles. Next-gen emotions.

2D puzzle platformer Thomas Was Alone launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U this November, creator Mike Bithell has announced.

We don't have an exact release date, but Bithell said on Twitter all three versions will launch within the same week.

The ports, which costs £6.99 / $9.99, are being made by Curve, which also worked on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions that were released in 2013.

On PlayStation Thomas Was Alone is a Cross-Buy title, so the PS4 version is free for anyone who owns the original game on PS3 or PS Vita. That includes those who downloaded the game during PlayStation Plus.

The video, below, offers a dramatic, inside look into how Curve landed the deal to bring Thomas Was Alone to next-gen platforms.

As for Mike Bithell, he's hard at work on stealth game Volume, due out at some point in 2015.
