Arya Stark actress in talks to star in The Last of Us movie

Game of Thrones co-star Maisie Williams has been in talks to star in the movie adaptation of The Last of Us.

Williams, 17, plays Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, and would naturally be starring as Ellie if she gets the role.

Buzzfeed's senior film reporter Adam B. Vary tweeted from San Diego Comic-Con, "The Last of Us movie team had meeting with Game of Throne's Maisie Williams for lead role of Ellie. Nothing signed yet at all."

Vary added that The Last of Us' game director Neil Druckmann said, "In an ideal world, Ashley Johnson would be 14. But there's some way to get those actors into the film."

Druckmann also said that Naughty Dog will have the final say in the film's casting and directing.

Apparently Druckmann's script for the film was going to have a different ending than the game, but producer and Spider-Man director Sam Raimi talked him out of this. "It's evolving," Druckmann said of the adaptation.
