Castlevania: Lords of Shadow spotted in Steam registry

Castlevania's howlingly-good 2010 reboot Lords of Shadow has been spotted lurking within the Steam registry, suggesting a PC release may be imminent.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 adventure is soon to get a sequel - Lords of Shadow 2 - which has already been confirmed for PC. (It won't, however, be coming to Wii U).

A PC release of the original now would therefore make sense.

Lords of Shadow details popped up on Steam's registry over the weekend, NeoGAF discovered (thanks, DSOGaming).

Castlevania publisher Konami told Eurogamer it had no comment to make on the news.

"This is a polished and enjoyable blast of musty Gothic action in its own right," Chris Donlan wrote in Eurogamer's 8/10 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow review. "MercurySteam has managed to deliver a game that's heartfelt, handsome, and quietly distinct."
