Final Fantasy 13-2 Sazh DLC release date, price details
New sidestory, skimpy costumes incoming.
A fresh episode of Final Fantasy 13-2 story arrives on 28th February for Xbox 360 players and a day later on PlayStation 3, Square Enix has announced.
Sazh: Heads or Tails lets players control afro-sporting Sazh in a new quest that runs parallel to the main Final Fantasy 13-2 tale.
Bucket, spade and enemy crabs not included.
The extra slice of story costs 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 or £2.99/€3.59 on PlayStation 3.
Fancy some extra card games as well? Well, snap! The DLC pack also adds "Chronobind" and "Serendipity Poker" to the Serendipity casino.
Before that, Square Enix will pump out another two new costumes for heroes Noel and Serah. Next week Noel receives the 'Spacetime Guardian' outfit, while Serah strips off for a new 'Beachwear' look.
The wardrobe-enhancing items go on sale 21st February for Xbox 360 players for 240 Microsoft Points, and a day later on PS3 for £1.59/€1.99.

I've quite enjoyed 13-2 so far (about 12 hours in). While the battle system hasn't changed much, the gameplay in general is much better this time around. On that basis, I'll be happy to give the DLC a whirl.

In many ways, these are pitiful days for games; days made sadder when I see a series like Final Fantasy, a series with which I grew up, churning out greater amounts of cheap and seedy trash like this.

@Rogueywon I totally was expecting a guy full of stereotype and he did have them (chocobo aka chicken in the hair), but overall he was still my favorite character.

Actually having two main characters only is a real boon to me in this game - a pet peeve of mine in JRPGs is having my party mixed up without my permission by plot-driven events. I want to control who I have at all times, and in FFXIII-2, that is exactly what I get.

The real kicker for me (as it was in Dragon Age Origins) is cruising through the game, becoming happily immersed in the story, lore and environments of the world only to approach and speak to an NPC who gives me two choices "Slot Machines or Card Games".
I choose Card Games, however instead of playing card games (as I foolishly assumed with actually happen) the game jumps in with "Card Games will be available as Downloadable Content in the future". I spent the next 20 minutes so pissed off that the developers had built a single player, story driven RPG and purposely removed content pre release in order to sell it later as an add on. FUCK! It's like paying 50 bucks for the trial version, a very generous trial to be sure, but it's still less than the full experience.
Here's how I'd like to see DLC work: 3-6 months after release a BIG (think expansion packs of old) chunk of EXTRA (not part of the main game), NEW (developed post release) DLC should be released.
Borderlands is a great example, full retail game with nothing missing, then 4 fantastic, fully featured expansions were released over the next year and a bit (I think). I have no problem with DLC in principal, it's all in the implementation. It's great that modern consoles allow us to prolong the games we love, but please devs stop doing it at the expense of the core game!
Anyway like I said, really enjoying the game, I just hope there aren't too many more reminders that I don't have the full version before the end of the game.
Sigh I just remember when you'd pull out a cartridge, bung it in the slot and play happy in the knowledge that you were playing the same game as all the other kids and if someone had a rad secret costume it was cause they earned it, or at least used the cheat code
Sorry for going on like a big baby, just felt like a winge.
