Tales of Graces F to get Summer 2012 Euro release

Namco shows new trailer for PS3-exclusive JRPG.

PlayStation 3 JRPG Tales of Graces F arrives in European stores in Summer 2012, publisher Namco Bandai has announced.

First released in Japan in December 2010, it's a beefed-up port of the original Wii Tales of Graces - the 12th entry in Namco's long-running Tales franchise.

Over 40 hours of gameplay are promised in the main quest, with an additional Lineage & Legacies epilogue adding a further 10.

There's also local jump-in, jump-out multiplayer for up to four players.

To celebrate the announcement, Namco has offered up a brand new trailer, which you can slap your eyes on below.

No word yet on whether it intends to bring Graces' sequel, Tales of Xillia, over to Europe following its Japanese release earlier this year, but 3DS owners can now pick up Tales of Abyss, a port of the eighth game in the series.

I think that article needs correcting to "3DS owners can pick up Tales of The Abyss, providing they don't mind being raped on the price by some speculator on ebay or Amazon marketplace"

Lets hope they ship more than 10 copies of this one to the UK huh?

@Whitster I went to every local retailer and no-one had a copy... so I bought it on amazon so it wouldn't be Vesperia all over again...

Well I'll be doing what I always do and preorder this months in advance. Anyone who thought there would be loads of copies of Tales of the Abyss...pffft!

    /plays on his 3DS

Better pre-order before it's impossible to find a copy.

@MattEdWithCheese I was waiting for the reviews as I didn't really want to end up with a £35 duffer.

As of speaking I havn't actually tried my local retailers yet as I can't get down there until Saturday. I put an order in on HMV as they reckon they can ship it within 5-8 days and I can always cancel it if I find it over the weekend.

    Additionally,

'but 3DS owners can now pick up Tales of Abyss'

    Not for a semi-reasonable price, they can't...

But.......I've only got a 360!!! So I suppose I have to find 100,000 signatures from somewhere for a petition.

I'm more interested in Tales of Xillia, hope they bring over that one too.
  • fullmaximumgamer #10 5 months ago

@Whitster you can still pick up a copy of abyss on hmv
  • Zackv4861 #11 5 months ago

I was lucky with Tales of the Abyss and managed to pick up a copy after release date from Gamestop but that took some work and a hell of a lot of searching retailers. It's ludacrus how much it's going for on ebay right now. I think a pre-order may be needed on this one.
  • Whitster #12 5 months ago

@fullmaximumgamer See above comment, the orders already in.
  • Zastai #13 5 months ago

Why do they think it's better to port a wii game to ps3 than to frigging release the already ps3 based tales of vesperia in the west?
  • Phantom_Dynamite #14 5 months ago

Was hoping for March are well better extremely late than never *ahem Vesperia*
Now just port Xilla Damn You.
  • saku_luk #15 5 months ago

@Zastai Probably because M$ has exclusivity rights outside of Japan? that's the most logical conclusion me thinks....

Its a shame really, every RPG I play in the future will be measured against Xenoblade

meh too late Namco I mean seriously Graces F is two years old already!!

All the Serious Tales fans including me have already played this anyway. I already have the Japanese versions of Vesperia, Graces F and Xillia, finished them and have moved on until the next installment. Xillia is by far my favorite out of the 3.

besides I can't stand English dubs for Tales games ugh.
neg me if you wish but this is my view!!

still waiting for Tales of Veseria english PS3!!!
  • Stuart444 #19 5 months ago

    1) Vesperia won't happen, we have it on the 360, we don't have Graces f
    2) Xillia MAY get a director's cut so it's better to wait and see anyway
    3) 'Serious' Tales fans? Ahem, most Tales fans that can't speak Japanese would prefer to play it in a language they understand.
    4) I'm importing this and I'll probably get the EU version just to support Tales in Europe.
    5) Abyss is hard to find, thank god for pre-orders online :D

There, I think that answers most comments including what this article is about.
