Splinter Cell Trilogy HD release date

Rayman Origins nailed down, too.

The Splinter Cell Trilogy HD will be released exclusively for PS3 on 23rd September, Ubisoft has announced.

Rayman Origins will be released in November on PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

Ubisoft's new schedule also provides a "calendar 2011" date for Wii and Kinect game The Black Eyed Peas Experience.

The second Your Shape Fitness Evolved game, YSFE 2012, will be out for Kinect in November.

Closer at hand, Call of Juarez: The Cartel arrives 22nd July on PS3 and Xbox 360. That date is 26th July on PC.

Driver: San Francisco turns up 2nd September on PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360, accompanied by 3DS spin-off Driver Renegade.

On 9th September there's Might & Magic: Heroes VI on PC to look forward to.

In October there's sequel Motion Sports: Adrenaline for Move and Kinect on the 7th, and Just Dance 3 on the 11th for Kinect, Move and Wii.

There's also Anno 2070 sometime this "winter", which could mean early next year, plus Ghost Recon Future Soldier in Q1 2012.

Been waiting for SC: HD for a while now. Finished the original and Chaos Theory, but never got round to playing the second one. Here's hoping they include the original MP modes too because they were brilliant.

Will the Splinter Cell Trilogy include the original Spy vs Merc game mode? As that was bloody awesome, the multiplayer has only been dumbed down since then and I haven't been interested... bring that back though and I'd be very keen!

Why no HD remix love for the 360?

Wouldn't mind playing these again (not to mention the Prince of Persia HD versions that were released a while back).

Still, there's always Beyond Good & Evil on XBLA

ashame for rayman origins, its going to be commercial suicide releasing that in november with the wealth of titles of bigger franchises out in Oct, Nov, and december. And it looks rather good as well. I can't understand why game companies avoid july, august and september like the plague. Its perfect time to launch new ips and reboots like Rayman, deblob, etc.

    @RodHull

I have a feeling that scores for that game would be down at the bottom.. of the garden. Amongst the birds and the bees.

If they were including the multiplayer, I'm sure they'd be shouting it from the trees as it would be a great bonus. But as Ubisoft have never mentioned it at all, I'm not expecting it.
  • Mughes #8 11 months ago

It was confirmed a while back that there'll be no multiplayer modes.

No 360 version of the SC HD Trilogy makes me sad :(
  • TFM_Excalibur #10 11 months ago

Yeah they said months ago, it's a complete single player experience. Not sure whether to order now
  • Cjail #11 11 months ago

    Delayed...again!
  • randyronald #12 11 months ago

Does their market research show that only ps3 gamers will buy HD compilations of last gen titles? Because I can't see why they wouldn't bring the SC trilogy update to 360, seeing that's where it's biggest fan base were I would say it's been long enough for many to make a nostalgia purchase.

Already have them in HD. Bought the Splinter Cell Collection for PC with the first 4 games for £3 a few weeks ago.
  • sonicyoda #14 11 months ago

I think the reason there isn't a 360 version is because of something called 'backwards compatibility'. Not entirely sure though.
  • spielorg #15 11 months ago

Haven't you guys missed out a few obvious titles such as Assassin's Creed: Revelations?

Or perhaps even CoE (PS3 version)?AC:R probably is an omission. I guess they're aware that they're targetting different markets with Rayman and AC for them both to be in November (but still Nov is overcrowded as is).

I'm sure some games are bound to bomb in that period with all those high profile releases for Oct-Nov across all platforms.

Let's face it, even without multiplayer, it's still gonna be better than conviction.

I do recall X360's backward compatibility does include an upscaling for xbox's SC as it was for Halo 1 and 2, even so, it's quite true that SC was quite successful on Xbox and strange decision not to have the HD remaster for both PS3 and X360.
  • Collymilad #20 11 months ago

Yeah it's a bit weird that the SC HD isn't coming to 360, considering that for consoles it's more of an Xbox franchise than a PS one.
  • stuarty_2003 #21 11 months ago

I am really disappointed that SC won't be making it onto the 360. I remember playing Spies vs Mercs for the first time on Pandora Tomorrow - it was tremendous.
  • espibara #22 11 months ago

This takes the piss Splinter Cell was born on the fucking original Xbox, so why no 360 HD splinter cell?

    Bastards.............
  • SlackMaster #23 11 months ago

Does anyone know if the SC HD set will be the xbox/pc games converted or the ps2 games?
  • sonicyoda #24 11 months ago

    It's the PS2 games apparently.
