EU PlayStation Store update 15th June
Black Ops: Escalation pack finally released.
Call of Duty: Black Ops' Escalation pack at last lands on PS3, a month after its initial Xbox 360 launch.
For £10.99, yours will be five new maps to the mix, including George Romero-inspired zombie killing in Call of the Dead. There's even a digital version of Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Also watch out for delightfully named The 2D Adventures Of Rotating Octopus Character as a mini for both PS3 and PSP. The aquatic adventure tugged an 8/10 (out of tentacle?) from Kristan in Eurogamer's PSN: Comeback Special review roundup earlier this week.
Other DLC adds more cars for Dirt 3, new missions in Operation Flashpoint: Red River and extra challenges to Marvel Vs Capcom 3.
Like your fighting a lot more retro? The original series-spawning PSone title Tekken is available to nab for four quid.
You can read the full listing below, courtesy of the EU PlayStation blog.

It's been that way for a while, was it actually released at the higher price?
Where is Wizardry? When are we going to get it?
> SOCOM Special Forces - Pro Assault Pack (free)
Far too late this one, this sort of crap plus Zipper dragging their heels on the Party patch and generally ignoring the EU base means this is on my trade-in pile now, and I'm one of the ones who really quite likes it.

Edit: Double-checked the "Full-Game Upgrade" on the PSN store, and yup - the price has a red line drawn through it and the word "Free" next to the Plus sign...

I downloaded (and deleted) the demo before the weekend and at that time, it was priced at £11.99, with the PS+ discount dropping it to £9.59.

Ah right, can't remember exactly when I checked it - probably early weekend/Friday. I just noted it was cheaper than I expected it to be as I remembered reading it was over priced compared to Live.

Very shoddy treatment for the 30 day free PS+ users. They should have exactly the same offers as regular PS+ subscribers.
Instead they are missing the Magic the Gathering offer and apparently they cant take advantage of the 12+3 month offer for PS+ either.
Also US store users can claim the free PSP games from their PS3 while EU have must do it through the PSP, not even MediaGo works.
And where the hell is Modnation Racers (PS3), it was due 8 weeks ago, before PSN went down. Oh, and Sega Rally?

"It's £6.80 on Live and you could have played the game months ago. SONYTAXLOL."
I can get it for 6.39 on PSN,

Thanks EA. The game's not even out until Friday, and then you release DLC early and don't even have the decency to make it free.
I think I speak for most people when I say 'Fuck you'.

And while BGaE has indeed been out on the 360 for a couple of months now, some of us like to play re-releases of games on the platform they were originally out on...

RE: Magic: The Gathering
That is the old one rent free from PS+ this month.
This is a new one "2012"

I don't think any PS user in their right mind would defend the fact that the publishers set the prices as a good reason why PSN tends to be a bit (sometimes a lot) more expensive than LIVE.
While it is true that Sony says publishers set the prices, I think it is stupid that Sony appear to be incapable of making sure those prices are fair.
From the sound of your posts you probably just need someone to tell you what you need to hear, so I'll do it:
You did the right thing. You chose XBOX over PS3 and it was the right choice.
PS is the inferior console. Well done.
OK?

According to PS forums those that bought BG&E at the old price are eventually getting a refund as it was originally put up at the wrong price

And I thought prices on XBL are based on MS points. How ignorant of me.

You should either give each release it's own article or combine them all into one, when you start playing favoritism on specific games it becomes blatantly obvious your only doing it for your employers to get more site hits from unique IP's
It's not like that CoD article really needed in fact it's the opposite, smaller companies need it.

You have no clue what your talking about, Sony take a 30% cut just like MS do, and the publishers set the prices, yes PSN is obviously paid for out of Sony profits, but there is certainly no PSN Tax that makes up these profits of any sort.
The prices are usually slightly higher on PSN, cos publisher want the price to end in a 99 pence, where on Live prices are at fixed points amounts 400 800 1200 and so on, again the publishers set the price but they have to choose from those fixed price points instead of any price.
But for both services if you buy scratch card codes instead of just paying on a credit card, you will get an even better price.

LOL

And there's a very simple explanation for that too. You see, if you do not buy any games on PSN, you can still play online for no extra charge. Can you do the same with Live?
