Pre-order Battlefield 3 get Karkand free
Expansion has BF2 maps, vehicles, weapons.
If you pre-order the Battlefield 3: Limited Edition on PC then EA will give you the Back to Karkand expansion for free.
Back to Karkand contains four "boldly re-imagined" Battlefield 2 maps as well as weapons and vehicles from the old game. There are also unique rewards and Achievements/Trophies tied to Back to Karkand.
You can pre-order the Battlefield 3: Limited Edition for £39.99 over on the EA Store.
The pre-order announcement coincides with the first gameplay footage of Battlefield 3. It's been a long time coming and you can watch it below.
Gameplay!

Great post, thank you. That info definitely should have been in the article, unless the article is designed to encourage pre-orders...
*edit - can't watch the video at work but is it really, finally, actual gameplay footage from BF3?! How is it?!

A friend and I once spent two hours in the two anti-aircraft turrets on the hill in the middle, occasionally jumping out to cover each other's backs with the shotgun. Must have taken out 50 jets and helicopters, who repeatedly came back for revenge, sometimes trying to parachute onto our heads but instead getting sniped out of the air. Finished up at the top two spots on the leaderboards by a mile.
Good times.

Good map, middle east urban, has a bridge and nicely spread out flags. I enjoyed it on pc all those years ago.

Because it's primarily a PC franchise?

Really? Where have you read that? It makes the idea of a "limited edition" pre-order bonus largely redundant, surely?
Hopefully it's true regardless.

I can't stand getting different or more content when you purchase at different stores or pre-orders.
Especially with an online shooter and even more especially if it's maps or weapons, vehicles even!

Whoever posted that link to the PC gamer article thanks too. Now to pre- or wait.. ...plenty of time left lets see what other stuff is out there and what steam are doing etc.
You might say I am rather excited - this and Diablo3 in the same year... how will I get any productive work done.

Friggin Console gamers just expect everything their way every f'n time! No wonder gaming is funked with these spoilt brat attitudes.

i find it funny that you would post a spoiled brat comment and then complain about spoiled brats.
