Tales of Graces F gets Western release

Namco Bandai to localise PS3 RPG.

Tales of Graces F, the latest entry in Namco Bandai's long-running Tales franchise, is to get a Western release on PlayStation 3, the publisher has confirmed.

As noted by Joystiq, a teaser site for the game now reads "coming soon to North America." Sorry JRPG fans, but there's no mention of a European release.

Tales of Graces F is an upgraded port of the Wii original, which launched in Japan back in 2009. It will be the first game in the series to be localised since the disappointing Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World hit the Wii at the tail end of 2009.

Over in Japan, Namco recently announced the 13th game in its long-running series, which began on the SNES with Tales of Phantasia way back in 1995. Tales of Xillia is due for release on PlayStation 3 later this year.

well if vesperia is anything to go by, they'll release it here a year after the US with zero marketing at an inflated price and pull it from shops days later.

PS3 games are unregioned. Just import it.

Looks like I'll be contributing to NA sale figures again when I'd rather support EU :/

Whilst it's not great that there's no news on an EU release as yet, the fact it's getting an English-language release at all is cause for celebration. And, as has been mentioned, at least the PS3 is region free, so no need for jumping through all the hoops I had to years ago to play the fabulous Tales of the Abyss, which never did get the EU release it deserved.

Tales of Vesperia not out in US for PS3 as of this time, still listed as TBA, only in Japan without English.

I have enjoyed the game enormously when released on the X360 last year, and am aware that PS3 got some extra contents exclusively, but it start to look like we ll be able to get Tales of Graces on PS3 before Vesperia?!

Just give us European a proper loving please for a change?!!

So no Wii version then? That sucks, the PS3 is the only current gen console I don't have.

Do you see this Nintendo? Others can do it, why can't you?

Great news. Tales of Vesperia was one of the few JRPGs I enjoyed this generation. Hopefully this one will topple it!

Shall import if they can't be fucked to release it over here.

Importing this in a flash. Love having a region free console.

Amazing, Namco are capable of translating games after all, but I'm not really interested in this particular Tales game. I would, however, welcome an english PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia very much. And the upcoming Tales of Xillia looks like it could be decent too.
