Ghostbusters fix out a year after release

Zool.

Over a year after the release of the Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game, developer Terminal Reality has fixed a bug that prevented players from collecting four Achievements.

The Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters was released in the UK in October last year after a period of exclusivity on PlayStation 3.

Four multiplayer Achievements were glitched, preventing fans from grabbing that perfect Gamerscore – until now.

"The Ghostbusters Xbox 360 multiplayer patch is now available! Many thanks to all of our wonderful supporters for their patience and continued support! The next step is to go get those achievements, and they are some doozies! Thanks to our awesome QA staff, we have a step-by-step walkthrough of how to go about getting them," Terminal Reality said on its Facebook page.

Ellie crossed the streams and discovered a 7/10 in Eurogamer's Ghostbusters: The Video Game review.

Terminal Reality is currently hard at work on the Kinect Star Wars game, due out next Christmas.

Zool was a pretty good game back in the day

Never touched Ghostbusters the game, as whilst PS3 exclusive in Europe, but was a far inferior game compared to the X360 version, and then arriving far late.... no thanks sir! As you wasnt quite interested in my custom. I always try to get the best version of any game, FFXIII on PS3 etc etc and being denied this mean therefore my sale is denied for you.

Dont care being negged but that is my right as a consumer to choose as to how to express myself!

The game being not that hot too, helped!

That's pretty telling of how the franchise was handled from the start. Everyone was riding on the good will towards it, and once it was released, what we got was a little over average game design in a good script and wonderful voice acting. Ultimately, just not enough. What we didn't get was proper support - and people complain about "day one" patches, this is "year one"!, and interesting modes. Sony and Atari's decision to delay other versions was pure greed as well.

Does no-one proof read Wesley's work before it gets published?

Hopefully this is a sign that Terminal Velocity are working on a sequel. I don't think they would have bothered this long after the release if they weren't still involved with the franchise... or maybe I'm being overly optimistic because I'm hoping for a proper sequel (not that top-down thing announced the other day).

Seems really odd that it's taken them a year to patch this. Shame I don't have XBL Gold any more so I can't get the achievements I was missing, and I'm not about to fork out just to get 'em. Still, I'll get the title update anyway.

A proper sequel would be nice too (not that weird looking Guardian of Light clone that's planned for a spring release on XBLA next year).

I'd love it if they released a new Zool game on XBLA.

I remember playing Zool on my Atari 520 (or was it 512?) STFM - quite good fun. Lotus Challenge, R-Type, Chaos Engine and Turrican 2 were the awesomeness of gaming back then though.

Got this game on the PC, then regretted not buying on my 360 - only ever play Eve when I log onto me PC.

Were the achievements only blocked in Europe for 18 months?

My mate played it on his PS3 and he got the trophies...

    Etc etc etc

Did they ever fix mouse acceleration on the PC version? Made it unplayable for me.

    Lol!

I knew would be negged and I agree that some people get too het up at being negged or craving for being plussed.

The most important thing I believe is that each gamer are entiled to their own view, and I stand by mine at taking my stand at the exclusivity thing. I prefers multi platform games to be fully available to all platforms rather than timed, partial etc.

Ghostbusters European exclusive deal is a mess, made more ironic by PS3 being the inferior version, lower resolution etc. How would people feel if MS managed FFXIII timed exclusive in Europe and yet superior PS3 version is available in other regions?

    Same prinicple!

Apparently the patch doesn't fix the glitched achievements for people who earned GB gamerscore before the patch. It MAY work for people without prior GB gamerscore, but this is uncertain at the moment.

Facenook is, of course, the social network feature in the forthcoming Animal Crossing 3DS.

The patch comes out a year later, and it's "thanks to our awesome QA staff"?
