Cataclysm UK launch event revealed

UK World of Warcraft fans will get their wizard on at an official launch event for expansion Cataclysm.

On the night of the 6th December Blizzard will join forces with shop GAME at Sound, No. 1 Leicester Square, London, for a big old party. Doors open at 10pm GMT. We advise getting there early.

An exciting evening of entertainment before the expansion goes on sale is promised, including a costume contest with prizes for the winners. There will also be an official licensed merchandise showcase, unique photo opportunities and giveaways.

Members of the World of Warcraft development team will also be around to meet players and sign their copies.

"After two years of development, we're excited to now be just two weeks away from releasing our best World of Warcraft expansion yet," said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard's CEO and co-founder.

"Cataclysm will add a huge amount of new content to the game and change the face of Azeroth forever, and we can't wait to celebrate this launch with players around the world."

If you turn up at the launch event you'll get the chance to buy the standard edition of the game and the Collector's Edition, while stocks last.
