Valve unveils first TF2 boss

Trick or treat?

Team Fortress 2 players beware! The game's first AI boss beheading your way, clippity-clop, clippity-clop.

He's the Horseless Headless Horsemann, a long lost Mann family member, and he appears randomly on spooky Halloween map Mann Manor. And he wants to kill you - providing the Manor's exploding pumpkins don't get you first.

Those brave enough can face the Horseless Headless Horsemann in battle. Slay him and an achievement awaits. It's called "Sleepy Holl0WND".

In addition to Triple-H (as I'm calling him), the Team Fortress 2 Halloween celebrations offer loads of themed costumes and items. You can buy them at the Mann Co. Store, and many will will be made by the community - we've already heard of the riches that can be earned by creative and enterprising fans there.

That's right, I'm watching you.

I wonder if the people who were stupid enough to buy the orange box on the xbox 360 are still holding out hope that any of these updates are coming to the xbox 360 version?

I keep thinking that I should play Team Fortress some. My last encounter mostly involved wandering round lost trying to find my friends and then getting shot. Same thing happens most times I try to play FPS games though.

FPS on console is 0 value for your money.

Eurogamer: Team Fortress 2 is out now on PC.

    Surely on PC/Mac

Definitely going to fire up TF2 and have a go.

@Chaney - I for one agree with Trikk.

And also, you really should not steroetype people, it's a terribly small-minded outlook to have. Is that not right you brighthouse loving, Benson smoking, burberry wearing little chav twat.

I played TF2 a bit back when it first came out, and again when they started releasing new weapons and stuff for some of the characters, but now when I look at it, I haven't got a clue what's going on with all the new stuff coming in. I feel like because I've not played it for a couple of years, I'm so far out of the loop that it's just not worth getting back in and having to learn all the new intricacies. It's great for keeping current players occupied and interested, but I'm sure it's got to be intimidating for those who've drifted or just not played it before.

Am i the only one thats see the connection between Blizzards WoW seasonal Event the 'Headless Horseman' and now Valves the horseless headless horseman? Also Blizzards Left to DIE and DoTA Starcraft? and Valves left for dead and DOTA game?

Looks like Valve and Blizzard are taking Pot shots at each other?

Why must everyone in this thread be so bitter towards each other?

This is a happy event. BE MERRY AND BE GOOD TO EACH OTHER YOU JERKS!

@darleysam I stopped playing for about a year and have only recently gone back to playing again, didn't have any issues with going back.. but I try to find vanilla servers. And I don't bother with aiming to get the achievements, I want them.. but I feel I've missed the boat.

Just go on, ignore the achievements, play with your load out and enjoy. It's not THAT different.. great game.

Complain to Microsoft, it's their update policy that's the problem. Consoles are locked down systems, completely at odds with Valve's PC/free update policy. You get what you pay for.

Team Fortress 3 before episode 3
