Sniper: Ghost Warrior gains MP maps

Someone's buying it.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior, the terrible game that sold well, has new content.

Specifically, five new maps for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.85 / €9.60). These are stuffed with long-range sniping hide-outs, decrepit oil rigs and mystical towers.

The maps work across deathmatch, team deathmatch and VIP modes.

The downloadable content is out now on PC and Xbox 360.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior, is "a technically inept entry in the most over-populated gaming genre", according to Dan Whitehead, who reviewed the game for Eurogamer. He awarded an abysmal 2/10.

Despite that, Sniper: Ghost Warrior has performed well in the UK chart, holding 15th this week - two months after release.

The first 15 minutes of a game you should not buy.

    For a game that is all about sniping, about 90% has you wandering into enemy camps as opposed to sniping them long distance. I can't believe people actually play the campfest multi-player either.

    Shame there isn't a patch to stop it being such a steaming pile of goat shit.

    I thought there was a patch released that made it slightly less crap than the version originally reviewed.
    Still crap though.

    OMG!! This is the best game EVAR! So deserves a 10. EG is BIAS :(

    hmmm...Seriously though I bought this and really enjoyed the campaign. Never did try the MP an the map packs won't tempt me to.

    LetsGo No I don't and there's quite a few games missing from my live profile but I do have it I promise. (I mean why would I admit to it otherwise (besides it's undiscovered awesomeness)?)

    probably people that don't care about EG shitty review scores...maybe they just care how fun the game is...and judging by the sales of other low scoring games(not minigames),it looks like that population has left EG.

    It's been fairly high in the individual format charts here in Germany according to the GfK lists stores tend to put up. Mind you, these lists only include the top 10.

    Just going by the video I must admit I was surprised. It wasn't the most original game, but I've played far worse. It didn't look like a 2/10 to me. In fact, I watched the Reach multiplayer video before it, and I preferred this. Not enough to buy it though!
