Retailer hopes to turn a Prophet.

70 HMV stores will open tonight across the UK to welcome the arrival of Xbox 360 game Halo: Reach.

HMV's flagship Oxford Street London store will be among them. There's no mention of face-painting or a dressing-up competition (which doesn't mean you shouldn't).

Copies of Halo: Reach will sell from one minute past midnight.

Eurogamer's Halo: Reach review was published early on Sunday morning.

Or you can wait until the following morning and buy/play it then. And probably buy it much cheaper from supermarkets or other shops. I imagine HMV will be selling it for the RRP. Never understand why people go to these things. See also Harry Potter novels

@ron_aldo urrr...tesco IS a supermarket, and people do it because their passionate about the product. I queued up for halo 2 many moons ago with many other people outside game and it was jolly good fun, when they used to bring out new consoles i did for those as well.
I`m sure you can understand it.

edit: 28 quid \o/ c`mon please still be doing double points then it`ll only cost me 15 (no pound sign on my keyboard)

Never 'got' midnight launches. On the one or two occasions when I have been even remotely interested in doing such a thing, my bed was too comfy an option to turn down.

But this in England and we do love to queue so stand in line folks and wear some decent footwear

I can understand being enthusiastic about a game (I've often bought a game on the day of release). Just that, personally, if I bought a game at midnight I wouldn't be able to play it long enough before my bed called me.
