Ueda presenting Last Guardian at TGS
Sony's let the cateagle out of the bag.
Sony has confirmed that PS3 exclusive The Last Guardian will be shown at this year's Tokyo Game Show, which conveniently gets under way next week.
Creator Fumito Ueda will present the game to media and then field questions. That session takes place on Thursday, 16th September at 3pm Japan time (7am UK time).
The Last Guardian was absent from Sony's E3 conference this summer, despite having been announced at the event a year earlier. Sony's Andrew House told us Ueda's team was "hard at work" but had decided to take a step back from the limelight.
The Last Guardian - the next game from the makers of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus - follows a boy and his relationship with a giant (but baby) cateagle.
Eurogamer will jet out to the Tokyo Game Show next week. Glue your eyes to the frontpage then.

Even from just a few screens where much of the scene is cloaked in shadow there is something about the game that feels distinct and special just like the previous games.

Although, I really want to avoid all coverage of it until it's released.

Seriously Trophy notifications would make me really question getting the game, and im far too much of an ico fan to be worrying over such things
edit: So does the person who gave me a -1 think trophy notices during a game as wonderful as TLG will certainly be is a good idea? Are you freaking mental!

I'm already visualising settling down with that nice cardboard case (it HAS to be card), turning off the lights... and emerging 10 hours later crying like a new born fresh from the womb!
Until then I'm going to try and keep away from coverage as much as I can, like others here.

Oh and exclusive games are the only ones that matter, multiplatform games are all shit.

"The PS3 is the greatest console of all time. Nothing comes close. Resistance 2? Infamous? These are the GREATEST GAMES OF ALL TIME...

It's funny really...
This same ass would have been agog with premature praise and giddy with expectations if this were a 360 exclusive, e.g. Limbo

I'm also hoping Sega might be announcing a console version of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown at TGS; now that they've just registered a console trademark for Final Showdown.
It looks like this year's TGS is sizing up nicely.

This game does look incredible. Seriously psyched. Anyone know how/when we can watch the show happening live? I live in Tokyo but obviously this is a press only day...
Hope it's available to see on the days open to the public!
