BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger PC dated

Includes cross-platform play.

The PC version of Arc System Works' superb fighting game BlazBlue Calamity Trigger will be out in the UK on 20th August. That's this Friday.

It includes cross-platform play with the Xbox 360 version.

The console version's been out for a while now. Matt Edwards reviewed the US version in August last year, awarding the 2D fighter a spiffing 9/10.

The PC version features all the original downloadable content, including Unlimited Characters and Costume Colours.

Screenshots of the PC version are below.

Cross-platform play with the 360? Holy crap. How did they manage that, with Microsoft being as difficult about that stuff as they are? Awesome.

@dudefella:the usual - Games for Windows LIVE...

A bit late, continuum shift lands in October so the player base will be shifting in a month or two.
Still I wonder if well see any mods like what happened with street fighter 4 that would be cool.

Awesome, but waitholdonjustaminutethere. Calamity Trigger is the first game, whereas if I'm not mistaken the sequel/expansion/whateveryouwanttocallit, Continuum Shift, was recently released for the 360 and the PS3.

Too little, too late. Cross-platform play is nifty though, we need more of that.

Its worth reiterating again: Yay! for the cross-platform.... except in 2 months, everyone on the 360 is shifting over to CS...

Capcom should have put the PC SFIV on GFWL for cross-platform play.

Where the hell did this come from?! Sweet - thought it was the newest version though (no SSFIV and now this? I guess we're lucky to even get the game at all but still, hardly ideal).

Wasn't really bothered by missing out on 360 Blaz Blue, but I'll definitely reconsider it, if the PC one has cross platform play. Might even pick up a PC version for extra achievements.

Still gets me why so many have a hard time trying CPP out more. It only stands to enhance the online experience.

Well i've been playing Continuim Shift on my Pc for the last 6mths (the arcade machine (Windows XP based) was cracked & dumped in January....

And its fantastic....the 720p visuals are superb, and the characters completely nuts..:))

Cross platform? Nice, I was eying this one up on the release list haven't played an over the top silly 2D beat 'em up in a while

    Still not SSF4 though :(

Definite get for me, the Guilty Gear series is a personal fave, and this looks like more of the same. I didn't pick it up on the 360 because like bollocks am I playing a 2D fighter with the 360's god awful D-pad. Did the same deal with Street Fighter 4 and didn't regret it.

There was DLC for this game? This is the first time I heard of this.
  • uzivatel #13 2 years ago

@Kain201: it was already included in PAL retail version

    @Brod

Steam has a coming soon section on the main page, check that out in case you wonder in the future, but it is not coming to Steam.

So either you are getting negged for being lazy or for using Steam.

I don't really know what's happening in Screenshot 10 but it's giving me a bit of a twitch.
