LEGO Potter sells 2.7 million

Dumbledore wide open for sequels.

Warner Bros. has revealed that LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 has sold 2.7 million copies around the world.

The numbers were noted duringTime Warner's Q2 2010 financial results, released today.

LEGO Potter has a long way to go to catch LEGO Batman's worldwide total of 7 million sales. But the latter has had two years to accumulate that, and the two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows finale has yet to air in cinemas.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, released in June, rekindled the magic of TT Game's LEGO series. Check out our full LEGO Harry Potter review to find out more.

I bought it for my son and ran through the first level with him, it's very good and definitely one of the best of the Lego games on initial impressions. Glad they kept the dynamic split screen in, saves the little one getting frustrated.

40 hours in and it's still great. So much collectibles. Well done TT, can't wait to the second one.

Yes I also agree with John, despite his apparent absence from this thread.

The shrieks of excitement and fear as my girls encountered the troll were amazing. They actually put the controllers down and scurried away from the TV! Now that's testament to the quality of this game. Great stuff.

"Yes I also agree with John, despite his apparent absence from this thread. "

John's omnipresent, even when you cannot see him on a thread you always find yourself agreeing with him, he's like god only real. All hail blessed John!

On a more related note it's kind of whacky that most of the Lego games have turned out to be consistently excellent in a world of First/third person shooters and action adventures.

I really enjoyed it too, hope they do some sort of DLC for it. Shame about all the glitches though. I've encountered one but hopefully I can still get 100%. I'll be peeved if it stops me.

    "Dumbledore wide open for sequels"

    Wow.... just... wow.

Yeah i encounted a glitch which meant i couldn't access the basement in the leaky cauldron. Basically i smashed the padlock but when i tried to go down it shoots you up into the air like you're on a fountain. Found out though that if you switch to a character who was already in the room he can enter. Problem solved but it's not a good feeling when after 40hrs you can't get the final 4 gold bricks to complete the game.

Yeah that 'Dumbledore wide open for sequels' pun gives a different impression from the one you guys meant I think... Seeing as..you know.. he's gay. Not that theres anything wrong with that, it just feel saying a gay character is 'wide open' can only give one impression. Hehe.

Funny that...it's the first LEGO game that has not clicked with me. I played it for about 3 hours or so and just couldn't feel any love for the layout. To me, I found it confusing and 'not quite sure what I'm doing next'. Not to say it's crap or not fun, just not as enjoyable for me compared to, say, the last Indy game which I completed 100%.
