Imagine a fighting game like Street Fighter that scrolled sideways for a whole level.
Imagine that each enemy you faced was a challenging opponent with an array of moves as powerful as your own.
Now imagine the levels were procedurally generated, that you could capture the soul of your enemies and become them, and that you had one only life.
Imagine all of that wrapped up in a painterly, stylish way.
That's Abyss Odyssey, the next game from Chilean developer ACE Team, creator of the wonderfully wacky first-person brawler series Zeno Clash, and boulder-rolling/tower-defence game Rock of Ages.
It's coming out this year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Atlus is publishing.
