Psychedelic space shooter Futuridium headed to PlayStation Vita

Chasing rainbows.

Mobile space shooter Futuridium will blast onto PlayStation Vita in a new expanded form, its developer has announced.

Futuridium is already available for PC, Mac and iOS, although its Vita version will be the most advanced yet, the EU PlayStation blog reported.

Dubbed as Futuridium EP Deluxe, the game pays homage to Commodore 64 classic Uridium in style and neon colour scheme, although its 3D gameplay is more reminiscent of Star Fox.

Extra levels, music and modes have been added for the game's new Vita release, along with "silky smooth" 60fps graphics and the usual array of PlayStation Trophies.

"We can't tell a firm release date for now, but you won't have to wait too much," teased Mauro Fanelli, co-founder of Futuridium's two person indie team MixedBag. "The price'll be very interesting."
