PS3 patched to 1.32

I feel stronger now!

Which came first? Turning the PS3 on, or finding out there was another firmware update? In my case, the latter. Still waiting for postie to deliver MotorStorm. Get on with it you massive, cold, flibbertigibbet.

Anyway, Sony's favourite son has once again been updated, this time to version 1.32. What does it do, you ask? Does it allow background downloading? Sort out the iPod reading? Fix the upscaling? Do away with auto-loading games?

Nope, it's designed to strengthen the "network performance of system software". Merry Christmas!

This of course comes a few hours after Sony released more PSone games via the Japanese PS3 store, along with a 3.03 firmware update for the PSP that enables them to work.

For more on where PS3 is in terms of firmware, refer to the PS3 update site. For more on "flibbertigibbet", refer to Word of the Day, obviously.
