Play games on Eurogamer using Gaikai

KraftWerk

So, will this work for me in Norway? It says "We already have seven live data centres in Europe". The following list names 9 countries with Eurogamer sites, suggesting that it isn't necessary with a Gaikai server in each country.. I'll happily test it out for you. :D

Wii Internet Channel now free of charge

KraftWerk

From Betanews.com:
Today, the Nintendo Wii's "Internet Channel" browser based upon Opera 9 received a couple of serious updates: It has gone from Adobe Flash 7 to Adobe Flash Lite 3.1, and now it is totally free to download.

Not an insignificant difference, I think.

Persona 4 dated for early March

KraftWerk

I'm over 30 hours into the game, and it's very good. I liked Persona 3 as well, but I stopped playing it. This one has had me hooked. The gameplay is a little meh, but the battle mechanics are good, and the supporting characters are strong enough to make it hard to prioritize who to invest time in getting to know. The music is repetative, but not really irritating. So, not an instant classic, but a must buy for any RPG interested PS2 owner, in my eyes. It's a fun game to play.

I think I'm going to play International Karate all night. It works very well on the Wii, with integrated on screen keyboard and all. On a side note, I never thought IK+ was any better. Then again, I never owned an Amiga..

The Story Behind: Hacker

KraftWerk

I played Hacker a lot when I was a kid. I was young enough to be -very- anxious of the Magma Ltd. satellites, and I thought the game was great. I believe the only games that freaked me out more back then was Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Time Trax. In fact, when Uplink came out it inspired me to start programming a retro-style hacking simulation in C64 Basic. Mostly an excuse to fiddle with the C64 again, but it had promise, too bad I only made one level! :)

Incidentally, I never quite got into Hacker II.

Impossible Mission

KraftWerk

You forgot to mention that the game now lets you save unlimited amounts of time, anywhere. Makes perfect sense for a handheld puzzle game, but unfortunately, it also makes the game ridiculously easy. Just save outside every room before you enter, and reload if you die. Save before you sit down and ponder the puzzles, reload and repeat when you figure out something. You'll practically have unlimited time.

Still a great remake, though.

Sounds very good to me. I wouldn't bother scrolling down an ever-expanding list of mostly-crap stages every time I wanted to try a fresh stage. This way, it kind of works like a random stage generator, only better. Because it isn't random.

But yes, click on the "View Original +"-button just above the image itself to see the image in its native resolution, and then just edit the last numeral in the URL to somewhat easily navigate the rest of the pictures. Much better.
