Nintendo ceases NES, SNES production

"We don't talk about N64."

Nintendo is finally pulling the plug on the ageing Famicom and Super Famicom systems, better known to you and I as the NES and Super NES. According to reports from Japan, what limited production of both consoles that still continues will cease this September. We didn't realise they were still bothering anyway, but apparently the reason is that finding parts has become too difficult. And 61.88 million NES consoles is surely quite enough.
