PSP owners can now download a new software update to improve the way their handheld handles media.

"Today we are launching a new version of Media Manager for the PSP that allows you to organise and sync your music, photos and other digital content," reads a post on the US PlayStation blog.

"The new Media Manager also grants access to the PlayStation Store through the PC and is designed to accommodate the expanding functionality of PSP."

The original Media Manager was launched a whole three years ago, priced at USD 19.95. The new version, however, is free, and available for download now via the PlayStation Store.
