Looks like Star Wars Republic Commando is headed to Switch

Well-received 2005 Star Wars game Republic Commando looks set for a new launch on Nintendo Switch.

A tactical first-person shooter, Republic Commando was originally released on PC and the OG Xbox. Set during the Clone Wars, it lets you play as a clone trooper and command the rest of your squad alongside you. Here's how it looked back in the day:

Overnight, Switch eShop dataminer NWPlayer123 noticed the game had been added to Nintendo store servers ready for release. Its developer is listed as Aspyr, which has previously handled ports for various other Star Wars games such as Episode 1 Racer.

Back in 2005, Eurogamer gave Republic Commando a positive review, with Kristan Reed deeming it "the best Star Wars shooter ever" at the time. It's nice to know this one was Qui-Gon but not forgotten.
