Watch: Reigns brings out your inner tyrant

I first played Reigns in the leftfield collection at this year's EGX Rezzed and quickly fell in love. I then died approximately four seconds later, because Reigns is a cruel mistress. Devolver's rule 'em up is all about actions and their consequences, and it's surprisingly difficult to keep the four pillars of your kingdom in balance (turns out, ruling a nation is quite tricky - who knew?)
As you'll learn from the video above, however, Reigns is exacting in more ways than one; it can also challenge your sense of decency and willingness to put innocent people in the firing line to save your own skin. As it transpires, I am profoundly comfortable with sacrificing undeserving men, women and children if it means hanging on to the throne for another year or two. I'm not quite sure what that says about me, but basically Reigns is a good video game.
