D&D adventure Sword Coast Legends gets release date, console versions

Play with your friends and a Dungeon Master.

Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game Sword Coast Legends will be released on PC (Windows and Linux) and Mac on 8th September.

The developers behind the game also announced PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game due for release late 2015.

Sword Coast Legends is the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game co-developed by n-Space and Warframe developer Digital Extremes. It appeared out of thin air earlier this year and has Dragon Age: Origins director Dan Tudge at the helm.

The game itself aims to be a faithful recreation of fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons, complete with co-operative four player teams and an active Dungeon Master - the person who directs adventures on the fly. That multiplayer element is the hook, but there's all the expected story, world and customisation stuff underneath.

If you feel confident enough to lay down your money now, the game is available for a limited pre-order price (on PS4 and PC) of $34.99. On PS4 those pre-orders come with $10 worth of Warframe in-game currency.
