DmC: Definitive Edition release date brought forward a week

Plus, 10 new screenshots.

DmC: Definitive Edition launches a week earlier than planned, Capcom has announced.

The action game comes out 10th March 2015 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the publisher said. It had been due out on 17th March.

DmC: Definitive Edition is a current generation console port of Ninja Theory's PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 take on Capcom's beloved action series. Ninja Theory has promised it runs at 60 frames per second and 1080p resolution.

Definitive Edition comes bundled with all the downloadable content (Vergil's Downfall campaign, three Dante skins, three Dante weapon skins and the item finder), as well as two new skins: Devil May Cry 1 Dante and Classic Vergil.

There are new modes, too, including Turbo Mode (game runs 20 per cent faster) and Hardcore Mode. With the latter, the style system is rebalanced to make ranking up much harder and ranks deteriorate much quicker. In addition, Devil Trigger doesn't launch enemies into the air, parrying takes more skill and all enemies dish out more damage.

Vergil's Bloody Palace is a new Bloody Palace mode that includes 60 levels and Vergil as the playable character. There's a new Must Style mode (players must be at an S rank or higher to deal any damage to enemies), and a Gods Must Die Difficulty Mode (all enemies spawn with Devil Trigger active and no items or health drops can be used).
