The iOS and Android version of Final Fantasy 4: The After Years releases in Europe this winter 2013, Square Enix has announced.

The game originally released for Wii and PlayStation Portable in 2008, and has, according to Square Enix, undergone a full 3D remake with "completely recreated graphics". There's a trailer, below.

The After Years is set a dozen years after Final Fantasy 4, with several returning characters and a new central character.

Meanwhile, today sees the launch of Final Fantasy 5 on Android. It's on the Google Play Store for 10.99 / €14.99.
