Fresh content is heading to PC strategy epic Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II Retribution next month, publisher THQ has announced.

The Last Stand, the game's multiplayer survival mode, gets 12 new achievements on 6th April, each of which brings with it a new piece of kit for your heroes to equip.

Before you start scrambling around down the back of the sofa for errant pennies, know this: THQ doesn't want your money. Yes, that's right this is free DLC. What a time to be alive.

The Relic Entertainment-developed dust-up launched earlier this month and is as every bit as enjoyable as its name is long.

"The tight, narrative flow of Chaos Rising may be gone," wrote Eurogamer scribe Al Bickham in his 8/10 endorsement, "but in its place, there's enormous diversity, and more toys than you could possibly hope for in a 20, standalone expansion."
