French site says so, Sony says zip.

Sony has declined to comment on claims that WipEout HD will be released on 29th May.

Said claims are being made by French site Jeuxvideo, although the date mentioned is a Tuesday and not a Thursday - which is when the PSN Store is usually updated.

Sony also dodged commenting on the whereabouts of a demo for the game, which we had hoped would appear this month.

WipEout HD is port of the popular PSP racing series, and runs in 1080p at 60 frames per second. This makes a massive difference and it all looks really rather lovely.

in my calendar 29th is a thursday..?
seems lika a very likely releasedate though. official site is up and running, preview-disc has been sent out so why not.
can't wait to play it!

i thought with the PSN Store revamp that updates wouldn't be coming every Thursday, but that it would update whenever things were ready.

Damn - I had (naively) hoped this could be the "surprise" promised for the new store launch. Though seeing as Sony isn't saying anything, I guess it still could be. Not that I actually believe it will be anymore .

This is looking great. I suck balls at the Wipeout games at anything over medium speed, but I might definitely have to check this out if the price is right.
