Win tickets to glitzy MW2 launch! Survey

PC Xbox 360 PlayStation 3
Survey by Robert Purchese

2 November, 2009

Closing date for this competition is Wednesday 4th November, 5pm GMT

This cheeky chappy is too young to go to the party.

Activision and Eurogamer are holding hands and offering two pairs of free tickets to the Modern Warfare 2 launch bonanza at London's Leicester Square next Monday (9th November).

Win and you could be rubbernecking on a camouflage-print carpet with "the UK's most famous faces". You'll watch a cinema presentation of Modern Warfare 2, witnessing behind-the-scenes interviews, before the celebrity host hands the game controller to you, hours before general UK release.

Furthermore, your VIP wristband doubles as a queue-jump at the London Trocadero HMV, where the official Modern Warfare 2 launch takes place.

Simply answer the question below to win. Note that you must be over 18 and prepared to arrange and pay for any travel and accommodation.

Q: What is the name of the main character in Modern Warfare 2?

You must log in before you can enter the competition.

Nope, Gary Barlow composed the soundtrack to Modern Warfare 2 all right, but I'm not sure if the main character is named Gary Barlow also....

Ugh, I don't like Actvision and I don't really care for shooting games, but I can't ignore a competition. Also last time I entered a competition for something like this I won.

If I win I will burn the launch and post it on Youtube.

I mean... Surely it would have been better to have the launch at the Expo, not at some half-assed piss-up hosted by nobodies and probably attended by Big Brother evictees and 'runners up' in whatever singing competitions are on TV now.

Down with this sort of thing!

As it seems a pretty lame prize, i think i would go with Gary Barlow... oh yes pay for your own travel, your own hotel... and you get to play the game... WOW... with the millions they are going to make you think they could spring for something alittle better..

Oops, think I entered twice by mistake. Hope I'm not punished with fiery death and disqualification, as I really want to meet Gary Barlow.

As I'm not even buying the game I went with the Gary Barlow crowd. I needed to nake sure that I was fully insulated from anything activision related as I fear the law (murphy's that is) and knowing my luck I'd end up at the event through a series of unfortunate events!

WTF, I can't think of anything more gay then wanting to attend a video game opening ceremony. You don't even get a chance to win a free copy of MW2 in this comp, just a chance to jump the queue..total bollocks IMHO.

Will Eurogamer cover the trainfare down to London? Some of us don't actually live in London you know? No trainfare, no sale.

If someone invited me to their penthouse apartment for a glitzy party, with all the rohypnol and anal rape I could handle - IT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THEY ANALLY RAPE PEOPLE.

I heard it's going to be Simon Mann making an appearance and it was Activision that secured his release from Equatorial Guinea.
