Tingle DS RPG dated
Anxious fairies in September.
Nintendo has said its new Tingle DS role-playing game will be out across Europe on 14th September.
Dubbed Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, it explores the story behind the enigmatic and wacky fairy from the Zelda series.
The action starts when Uncle Rupee convinces a middle-aged man to throw money into a pool of water so he can get to a secret paradise. He does as he's told and soon finds himself transformed into Tingle and in a magical place.
Here he'll have to explore the land and accumulate money, so that he can grow the tower rising out of the magical pool of water that gives him access to new areas as it increases in size.
To do this Tingle will complete sub-quests, explore dungeons, make amendments to old maps when he finds new areas, and generally try to wrangle as many rupees out of people as he can. But not too many, as haggling too ferociously will turn others against you.
He's fairly useless, too, with no real magical powers or fighting prowess inherent to someone like Link. So when he needs a spot of muscle he'll have to hire it, choosing different goons to accompany him depending on their skills, like picking locks and so on.

How exactly is he a 'blatant' piss-take of fanboys? I don't understand that at all. I dislike him because he's a one-joke character; a grown-man who thinks he's a fairy, which sort of worked in Wind Waker but enough to give him his own game?

Tingle is a slightly silly distraction from Zelda games - his own game though? I'm not entirely sure how that can be justified...

Why is that offensive?

Indeed, this is the gayest game ever. Hurrah!
