The Passing to include "new game modes"
Left 4 Dead 2 add-on sounds substantial.
Valve has said to expect "new game modes" in The Passing DLC for Left 4 Dead 2, which is now listed as "spring" rather than March.
That's according to an update to the Left 4 Dead blog which lists some of the pack's new features.
These also include a "Wicked Witch Bride", an M60, a golf club melee weapon and "The Fallen Survivor".
Plus there's the chance to rendezvous with the L4D1 survivors. A separate L4D1 DLC pack will be released later that shows some of those story elements from the first game's perspective.
Check out our news from the other day to be reminded of The Passing's tagline, although beware that the previous announcement constitutes a bit of a story spoiler, in case you're squeamish about that sort of thing.

A new skin for the Witch and a new uncommon common infected, who sport various equipment and run away once they see you, so you have to chase them or kill them quick to retrieve the goods they carry.

Which by the way, i think will be an alternating character every playthrough.

Wouldn't be the same if they kept to a set date.

Well done and thanks - you've won swimming lessons provided by Michael Barrymore.
Not sure that a skin for the Witch is something to get excited about, considering she seems to have taken more of a backseat in L4D2 (with the exception of the Hard Rain campaign). Surely there's more to it than that?
The fallen survivor on the other hand seems interesting.
I'm looking forward to some more versus maps as it appears that people almost exclusively play Dead Center and The Parish (with a sprinkling of Dark Carnival thrown in).

I have no idea why anyone would neg that but in all fairness directing questions to Valve in this comment thread seems a bit pointless: I doubt they read Eurogamer.

Because it's boring as shit reading people begging for Episode 3 within the news posts for games that are fucking fantastic in their own rights.
