The Last Guy on PS3 Store

Plus Warhawk pack, NHL demo.

Sony has updated the PlayStation Store with The Last Guy for PS3 and the Warhawk: Operation Fallen Star add-on pack.

The Last Guy is a top-down game where players try and rescue civilians from a city overrun by monsters, and costs GBP 4.99. Look out for our review soon.

Operation Fallen Star, meanwhile, introduces jetpacks and ten new battlefields among other things, and goes for GBP 3.99.

Otherwise there's a demo of NHL 09 from EA (free, obviously), and Buzz! Junior Jungle Party for GBP 3.49, which is an add-on for Buzz! Quiz TV, as far as we can make out, presumably based on the PS2 release of the same name. It's billed as a "Game Pack" on the Store, but we're double-checking.

And of course if you still have time after all that, there's the usual collection of trailers (HAWX, Far Cry 2, Super Stardust HD tips vids) and a new, free graffiti theme, as well as a Pipe Mania demo for PSP owners.

Oh I need that Jungle Buzz for my little one, I've been waiting for a wee while on it, bloody delayed more than once.

A first for me, three potential buys in one update (Warhawk pack and Last guy are my other choices)

Next week will likely be awful then :(

I tired that "The Last Guy" demo. I didn't really like it.

I'm definitely going to get The Last Guy - I think I've been seduced by the bloody soundtrack...

    Ooooh.
Last Guy and a Pipemania PSP demo.

Not a bad update this week. Roll on hometime!

I actually did enjoy The Last Guy more then I anticipated when I played the US demo last week... It seems a bit of a strange game, but it was actully quite fun. And there was more to the gameplay then I thought. I might just get it.

The Last Guy is a triumph, played the demo from US PSN last week and was gutted cos there has been no mention of release on EU sites. Will pick it up tomorrow asap.

Er? Is Xraw serious by adding a link for hacked software for our consumption?!

So what cities are included in the Euro version of the Last Guy?

I bought the Last Guy last night and sat up until past midnight playing it. For £5 there's a whole lot of entertainment there. I woke up this morning really wanting to get back on it... work though... :(

Hmm, Last Guy. Yeah, I like the quirky humour and the little snippets of people screaming and saying stuff. Seems like a good game. Might buy it later. Right now I've got my hands full with Pixeljunk Eden and Siren. Both great games.

Played the demo of The Last Guy last night; loved it so put my £4.99 down and purchased the full thing. The levels have a lot of replayability in terms of upping your survivor count and finding the hidden special people. Only unlocked 3 levels so far as I had to go to bed. I know what I'll be playing tonight.

I like how the music gets quieter the more you zoom out of the map. I got caught out a couple of times when I didn't notice a zombie moving in the shadows - ran right into him/her/it - GAME OVER; had rescued over 1,000 peeps too.

    What's everyone's longest chain? I got a 916 people chain going.

I had a line of about 1200 on the second level but then lost concentration and hit one of those scuttling bugs... game over. The leaderboard tells tales of people rescuing every single person on a level in one line. Sounds tough to me... but again, trying to do that will get your £5 value.

GO. BUY. IT. Has there been a review here yet? No?

I don't like the Last Guy at all, but it's nice to see something original on the store.

LG: Great game. So very odd and quirky but it works.

Jungle party isn't an add-on it's a stand alone game - basically a trimmed down version of the PS2 one.

I really enjoy it. It is sometimes controller-smashingly frustrating, but surprisingly addictive.

I think I've had 946 people in a line before bottling it, as those blasted green bug zombies that turn red were all over me and I went for the teleporter.
