Star Trek: D-A-C coming next month
Top-down shooter inspired by new movie.
A new Star Trek game is on the way for PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
Star Trek: D-A-C is a top-down shooter inspired by the forthcoming movie. You get to control various ships as Starfleet and the Romulan Empire battle it out.
There are single-player, online multiplayer and online co-op modes, and up to 12 players can take part in team combat. Game types include Team Deathmatch and Assault, plus Conquest.
There are three ship types for each faction - Flagship, Fighter and Bomber. You'll get to muck about with the new U.S.S. Enterprise as seen on the big screen, and music and sound effects from the movie are promised too.
Star Trek: D-A-C will launch via Xbox Live in May, with PSN and PC versions to be released "shortly thereafter". There's no word on a price point yet.

What gormless twat is responsible for this abomination. Perhaps the very genius who worked on the last wing commander game?
Words cannot express my utter contempt for this concept.

I'll love this regardless of quality. Unless it's like Battlestar Galactica, I wasn't impressed with that at all. But if it plays like Star Trek Conquests battles, I'll enjoy it.

Or the battlestar Galactica game that came out a while back on XBLA, sounds very like that

Certainly can't be worse than a certain soulless, personality free borefest of uninspired game design that seems to be poular with everyone.
