Sonic & SEGA's All-Star Racing will be released for DS, PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 on 26th February.

The game has Sonic and pals zipping around cutesy cartoon courses on motorbikes and bananas and in cars and planes. Short-cuts, obstacles, power-ups and weapons spice the mix, plus each character can deploy an All Star power for an extra push.

There's multiplayer for four people on the same, quartered screen, or you can challenge up to seven other people online.

Boy this one is gonna have join quite a few in the "have to wait" pile. I'll never understand it, what is the point of flooding the market when pricing is so high that people can't afford to buy half of 'em!

Someone said this is to OutRun 2 what Sega Superstars Tennis was to Virtua Tennis. So I for one can't wait to play this for a couple of hours before going back to OutRun 2.

Yeah, it's Sumo developing and it's running on the same engine. The gameplay is EXACTLY the same, so as long as the course design is decent and the powerups, etc are balanced it's a safe bet.

I'm actually really looking forward to it, not sure I'll pick it up right away though. There's a bunch of characters I'd like to see as DLC.

Still playing Crash Team Racing from the PSOne classics store � no kart racer's come close since (brilliant multiplayer and a diverse campaign). Hope this is as good.

Same day as Heavy Rain...urrgh, well Heavy Rain is a definite...but I can't NOT get this. It has RYO for christ sakes.
Ugh, looks like I'm getting both, I guess when I need a break from Heavy Rain's rollercoster of emotions that it apparently sends you on, I could just run people off the tracks in a forklift. Sounds lke a decent day out at a fairground.

I had such fond memories of Crash Team Racing, but they got shattered when I downloaded it for the PS3.
So far WipeOut HD is still the weapon-beased racer to beat

Remember Sonic Drift? Simple fun, so long as this doesn't fall into the same trap as Superstars Tennis (nostalgia masking a shit game) it should be a worthy followup. Wishing Beat hadn't been the mascot of Jet Set Radio now, really don't find him an appealing character.
