Retro-styled Mega Man 10 revealed

No frills, just platform thrills.

Capcom has announced another retro-style Mega Man game for WiiWare.

Mega Man 10 consists of another eight 2D platform levels and eight power-giving bosses, according to the January edition of Nintendo Power magazine. You'll be able to play as the volatile but powerful Proto Man from the outset as well as a third, unannounced character.

The fact the game's been announced in Nintendo Power perhaps explains why we've not heard about other formats yet. Mega Man 9, which came out in September 2008, also appeared on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

Head over to our Mega Man 9 review to find out more.

I wasn't expecting them to do another one, but this excites and pleases me in great and equal measure.

I'll have to finish 9 first. It's a teensy bit tough. 2 bosses to go...

I think they overdid it a little bit with the hardcore annoyingness in MM9. Unless this one is decidedly easier, I won't be buying it. (not until I get round to finishing the first one that is, probably never).

I wish they would do this with 16-bit Sonic.

Excellent! Megaman is so Marmite, but I'm glad to see Capcom listening to those that love these games rather then those who bemoan their old school quirks.
