Peggle comes to XBLA this week News • News • Eurogamer.net

PopCap has announced that its maddeningly addicitive puzzle game Peggle is to be released on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday, 11th March, for 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60).

The game features an all-new online multiplayer mode called Peg Party, supporting four players over Xbox Live. There's also local multiplayer, a 2-player Duel mode, achievements, online leaderboards, and support for future downloadable content.

The news comes as a slight surprise, as a Gamespot report last week led us to expect Peggle to appear on XBLA in a PopCap Arcade compilation later a little in the month, on the 31st.

We're not sure of the status of PopCap Arcade Vol. 2 now, but with the promise of a few extra weeks of rainbow-striped, unicorn-starring Breakout-meets-Pachinko-meets-pinball dayglo madness, we don't really care any more.

Is it going to have any new levels or powers? While Peggle is teh awesome, i already have all the games on Steam, and don't particularly care about multiplayer.

As was mentioned on the comments of the last article, Popcap Arcade Vol 2 isnt an XBLA game, its an Xbox 360 game (only released in America though) that has these three games on it, and doesn't have anything to do with the XBLA release of Peggle.

I may get this seeing as I've got to buy some points for the PGR4 premium DLC coming down in price (why has no one reported this yet!) so I might pick this up as well.

Is it a relaxing game? I assume it is despite the addiction levels.
