Operation Flashpoint 2 for this winter
Long-awaited sequel comes closer.
Codemasters is aiming to release Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising this winter.
The publisher will shoot more specific details at us soon, according to Videogaming247, which lurked menacingly by a tree.
Operation Flashpoint 2 was originally in the hands of first-game developer Bohemia Interactive, and talked about as long ago as 2003.
However, due to a conflict of interests, developer and publisher parted ways and Codemasters decided to redesign the game from the ground up.
One of its chief boasts is a fresh proprietary engine called EGO that looked very impressive in a batch of show-off screenshots last year.
Other than that, little is known about the title other than the fact it will be on PC, PS3 and 360.
Pop over to our Operation Flashpoint 2 gallery for those nifty shots.

Didn't realise it was in DEV for Console also!
Might end up picking it up on 360...save spending Ģ500 on a new rig if the screens are anything to go by. [although they look CG].

Codemasters eh? So a shitty single playr mode, US voiceover ribbing you whenever you miss a shot or praising you about bing "stoked" whenever you nail someone, borked and over sensitive controls, rapid changes in perspective in game style that make no sense.
Pretty much like DiRT and GRID.

Please don't fuck it up, Codies. This is one of the most unique and involving FPS out there; just make it similar to the first game but with dead sexy graphics and we'll be pleased.

Well, still got some hopes for 'Enemy In Sight', after all 'Hidden & Dangerous' was a cracking game (second one was good apart from those one-man missions which stank of 'M*d*l of H*n*r')
