Oblivion expansion released

For Xbox 360.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion expansion Knights of the Nine is now available to download from Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.30).

Featuring a significant new quest line, new enemies and items, Knights of the Nine is the biggest add-on Bethesda has released for the game so far.

A boxed PC version, featuring all the previous Oblivion add-on items (yes, horse armour and everything), is due for release this Friday in Europe through co-publisher Ubisoft.

The standalone Knights of the Nine quest should be available for PC owners to buy for US$ 9.99 through OblivionDownloads.com on 4th December.

And, as you'll know if you've been keeping up, the forthcoming PlayStation 3 version of Oblivion will include Knights of the Nine from day one - but you won't be able to pick that up for a while, not least because the PS3 isn't out in Europe until March, but also because the game was recently delayed until Q1 2007.

I've just finished oblivion this morning!

    *does a little dance*

More content? No thanks, it's ripped 130 hours from my life as it is...

does the DLC come with achievements?

does the DLC come with achievements?

Unlikely. 360 games can only have a 1000 points per title and those are already allocated to the main game.

Good question, i don't have Oblivion but you can probably check to see if the original game has used up the allocated 1000 GP! GRAW saved some GP for additional acheivements released later, tho chapter 2 didn't have any!

    wohoo

havent even finished the main game yet!
With saints row still only a few hours in and vice city stories on the go - i havent got nearly enough time for all the new stuff coming out! Not knocking quality titles but it seems that we seldom get a good frequency of releases- droughts followed by the rains...good job i'm frakkin skint at the moment.

Anyhow thanks Besthesda, still the best game for 360 by a long shot

£6.80 for a 10-20 hour questline is good value in my books. Downloaded it this morning without a moment's hestitation (unlike other premium Marketplace content) but sadly won't get to try it until later.

It's always great to see a company release new material instead of fixing bugs. Still the worst localization I've ever seen and always my prime example of how NOT to do it.

How many megs does weigh this update?
  • Royal Fool #12 5 years ago

Kameo originally had 1000 points to earn and 35 achievements, the power pack later bumped those up to the maximum 50, most of them are zero point achievements.

So no, games cannot go past 1000, sorry.

    @neuroniky - It's 108 KB! /wink

    Just kidding!!! It's 141 MB.

Meh... they need to add some new locations. Maybe a few towns or something, along with new factions or missions. This add-on is good, but not really what I'm wanting.

I've dowloaded it. But where do I go in Tamriel to activate the quest? Or is a message supposed to pop up as soon as I resume my game? Nothing's happened, so far.

"Oh my wife is going to be pissed.... I'll be pickin up the PC Version! "

Yeah, why is it that they have something to talk about as soon as you start a game up? :D
  • darshannon #17 5 years ago

Well, that's a good reason to get back to Cyrodiil. More so, since I never got all those GPs. Still gotta make it to the top of the Dark Brotherhood roster. And I haven't even started the Mages Guild and the Thieves Guild questlines.
The problem is - I've just unfreezed my WoW account... Like bcolter said - my wife is going to be pissed.
