Animal Crossing treats coming

The Easter bunny's on his way!

Good news for Animal Crossing: Wild World fans - the Nintendo Easter bunny is heading to your town this weekend, bringing all sorts of seasonal treats.

There's no word on what said treats will actually be, but we do know that everyone who takes the game online this weekend will find a selection of goodies in their mailbox, accompanied by a special letter from Nintendo.

To receive your treats, all you have to do is log on via Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection service between Good Friday and the end of the weekend.

    Right so can I just get this by going to the town gates and then asking to 'go visit another town via WFC' and then when it fails to find anybody just cancel... will that be enough for the download to happen or do you actually have to fully connect with a friend over WFC?

    I suggest opening your gates then. You don't need anyone online to do that.

    Can anyone remember what the even was that caused us to get a latter from Mr. Iyawata and a giant SMB coin?

    Think we got our coin to celebrate the asian new year? Or as a general new years pressie. Mine is still sat in my house next to the darts board, unfortunately 3 weeks of AC inactivity probably means it'll be crawling with roaches. STOMP STOMP STOMP

    Wooo hooo, played this for a year on GC but bought this on DS recently and got completely hooked again. It helps that my missus has it too as we visit each other etc, good fun.

    Looking forward to the presents!

    If you can't visit anyone just open your gates using WIFI and you'll receive the presents. I love this game and can't wait for the presents!

    I got a giant green pipe with one of those monster flowers in from the Mario games. Did anyone get anything different?

    Yeah I got that too.

    It also seems if you have the American version of the game you do not receive this present.
