New Prince of Persia gets release date News

PC Xbox 360 PlayStation 3
News by Ellie Gibson

18 September, 2008

Ubisoft has announced the new Prince of Persia game will be released in the UK in time for Christmas.

It's out on Friday 5th December, to be precise, for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The rest of Europe will get it a day earlier, the lucky beggars.

December 5th also the launch date for DS exclusive Prince of Persia: The Fallen King.

The new Prince of Persia bears no relation to the Sands of Time trilogy, apart from the fact it stars a prince from Persia and is a videogame. But he's got a girlfriend now, and she can help him do whack tricks and sh**.

Find out all about it over on the gamepages, "word".

I was hoping for January actually, but December is much better than the overly busy November. Gears 2, Left4Dead and this is must buy games. I might have to skip games like Fable 2 and Fallout 3 because its too many games coming this fall.

So Tombraider is out a couple of weeks earlier. Be interesting to see if that headstart makes it the winner between these two.

Surely it should be 'wack' rather than 'whack'?

Perfect! Fable 2 & FarCry 2 in October. Tomb Raider Underworld & Gears 2 & The Last Remnant in November and Prince of Persia in December. ALL OTHER GAMES I want to get will have to wait until 2009.

no ... my wallet can't sustain another release this year. There are already enough games coming out .. I just hope JonFE is right. Ubi, push the release to next year!

I hope its a good as the Two Thrones but would really love for its to be better than The Sands of Time.

I'm still not 100% sold on the new graphical style.
