More SingStar PS3 songs tomorrow News

PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

17 April, 2008

The next wave of recycled SingStar songs will be added to the PS3 SingStore tomorrow.

Semi-official blog ThreeSpeech confirmed the news, alongside lists of tracks for eight European regions.

English-language songs come from groups like Duran Duran and Placebo, and singers including Billy Joel to Natasha Bedingfield. "Crying" by Roy Orbison is in there as well, but is best avoided by those who have trouble with their Rs. The letter.

Individual tracks will set you back GBP 0.99.

Head over to ThreeSpeech for German, Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish lists. Or pop your eyes down there a bit for the English selection.

  • GANGgajang - "Sounds Of Then (This Is Australia)"
  • Placebo - "Every You Every Me"
  • Corinne Bailey Rae - "I'd Like To"
  • Dover - "Serenade"
  • The Gift - "OK! Do You Want Something Simple?"
  • The Gift - "Question Of Love"
  • Jackie Wilson - "Reet Petite"
  • The Pipettes - "Pull Shapes"
  • The Magic Numbers - "Forever Lost"
  • Billy Ocean - "Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)"
  • Roy Orbison - "Crying"
  • Duran Duran - "Ordinary World"
  • Maximo Park - "Girls Who Play Guitars"
  • Natasha Bedingfield - "These Words"
  • Billy Joel - "Piano Man"
  • Billy Joel - "It's Still Rock And Roll To Me"
  • Bic Runga - "Sway"

Ah Billy Joel ^_^ Could have picked a better song than "Its still rock and roll to me" though.

Duran Duran and the Bedingfield for me. They'll be good karaoke songs I reckon.

does anyone actually giv a shite bout these songs.....come on.

Why is it that most of the stuff on the uk singstore appeals to your mum n dad or the 'Indie' crowd.
I hate the way the media in this country only bigs up indie kids above everything else and tells you that their songs are the most genius and relevant compositions ever.

The singstore is really lacking in the biggest selling music in the world which is amercian R&B and global pop.
the store needs to appeal to everyone, not just the people who put the dam songs on there.

F*ck Maximo Park, they are boring aristrocats

Yeah i can really imagine loads of british teenagers getting overjoyed with the fact that they can sing a Billy Joel song on their PS3's.
A song they probably never would have heard of and to be surely considered as "not cool".

You must be old and reluctant to go along with the times in terms of music.

Yes I am a cunt, cus frankly that song is jus sooooooo sooooo boring.
Billy Joel can kiss my arse.
Now give me some Usher and Chris Brown songs to sing.

I suspect lacking musicians partly have to do that they're not cool enough to serve up their music video for a measly 99p.

Wasn't aware good music was subject to "the times". That's disappointing
