Max Payne 1 and 2 for Xbox Originals? News

Xbox 360 Xbox News by Tom Bramwell

31 March, 2009

Max Payne and Max Payne 2 may be on their way to 360 courtesy of Xbox Originals, judging by an ESRB posting dug up by Destructoid.

The recently updated listing has both games down for Xbox 360, in addition to their original platforms.

PEGI hasn't caught up yet, and Rockstar/Take-Two hasn't said anything, but followers of such things point to parallels with past Originals.

And given that Max Payne 3 was announced last week, it wouldn't be all that big a surprise either.

Xbox Originals sell for 1200 Microsoft Points (GBP 10.20 / EUR 14.40) apiece, and the line-up includes the likes of Halo, Fable, Ninja Gaiden Black and Psychonauts.

Love my Max Payne games on PC, but PS2 ports were nigh unplayable. Are Xbox games any better?

Oh lord yes!

I was browsing them last night, I would grab Fable if it was TLC, couldn't help but wish for:

Max Payne 1+2
Baldurs Gate: DA 1+2
Morrowind GOTY
GTA Vice City

Plus some others that escape me

They're great games and all, but their second hand value is about £2... and they're backwards compatible (I think)

They're both very playable, but the sequel is a noticeable downgrade from it's PC cousin.

I've got my box rigged through a 22" VGA flatscreen so no 50mhz :-(

Already downloaded Psychonauts and bought back cat of GTA and Halo from CEX. GTAs used to work (with a bit of adjustment) but nothing doing now.
