Lost Planet 2 co-op demo coming to PS3 News

PlayStation 3 News by Ellie Gibson

17 September, 2009

Capcom is releasing a co-op demo for Lost Planet 2 on PSN next week.

It's the same excerpt which will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show and will be released on 24th September, the same day the show starts.

"PS3 owners will not only be able to engage in the frantic battle against the enormous G-Type Akrid, the boss Akrid of the episode 1, but will also get the exclusive experience of two additional missions in an online co-operative extermination of the Akrid of E.D.N. III," wrote Capcom's Brian Keltner on the PlayStation Blog.

A new trailer will be released alongside the demo, showing off the new desert environment and "even bigger Akrid than seen before".

Eurogamer will be reporting LIVE from the Tokyo Game Show next week, bringing you all the news as it happens, or very soon after it happens at least.

did not enjoy the LP2 demo and thought it looked visually very rough indeed.i also wish capcom would stop ruining its games for the SP fans with co op being the only really option to play them properly due to dodgy ai. anyway i thought LP2 is a timed 360 exclusive and a ps3 version wasnt confirmed

I feel like a bit of a demo whore.

I download them, play them and enjoy them but never buy the full game!

Am I alone in this habit?

Well Donnie, it looks like you were wrong about something to do with the PS3. I'm now trying to look surprised, but not quite managing it.

I do agree with your point about the SP experience being sacrificed for the MP experience. I really hope Uncharted 2 hasn't done this!

@Widge

Same here. There is always a full game i need to finish. I know i will be trying out the Brutal Legend demo tonight though.
Just to know if i need to make room for it in the busy upcoming months.

Expected great things from the demo - but it is very short/small - didn't enjoy it very much, but, I strongly suspect it is not a very good indication of the full game.

Played it 4P co-op so I can't really comment on the A.I.'s ability to replicate human interaction.

Last demo I tried was Wet, enough to put me off trying demos that.

I'll try out something I'm actively interested in though, to make sure my money is wisely spent.
