LittleBigPlanet will be moderated
Sony to keep an eye on things.
Sony has confirmed to Eurogamer that it plans to moderate user-generated content in forthcoming PS3 exclusive LittleBigPlanet.
The news comes after TheSixthAxis reported users will be able to rate their own and each others' content, with legal action a possibility if "mature content" gets out of hand.
A Sony spokesperson has since confirmed, "We'll be moderating LittleBigPlanet's user-generated content in the same manner as we moderate all our online games. A good example of this is My SingStar."
In other words Sony will be keeping an eye out for filthy stuff, and will have the power to delete it if necessary.
LittleBigPlanet is out this September. See what all the fuss is about over on the gamepage.

Sad, but unfortunately very neccesary measure in this day and age. You only need to look at the Mark Speight - RIP thread on Eurogamers on forum that some people have got no idea how to be sensitive to other people's feelings.

would you really though? I imagine quite a lot of user-pr0n wouldn't be that nice to watch

Youtube now allow nudity in a non-sexual context and soft porn with camwhores in tiny thongs and bras, so I doubt it'll be too long before they go there.

"However, it is fine if you create something obscene as long as you do not upload the level to the community, so you can still share it in your own circle of friends, regardless of how perverted it would be to see a cute little sackboy stood next to a penis that's 5 times his size."

What inventive gros sex theme could you pass under Sony's radar.
A level that, after some player interaction (physics wise) shows obsene forms.
Just like in school, trying stuff like this is way more cool if you've got an opposing force trying to stop you.

Just don't be too harsh... or spend 3 weeks for a level's validation

True, but a scoring system, like YouTube, could easily fix that.
Some diamonds will get lost in the shuffle, but no piece of crap will come out on top.
