Killzone 2 demo due at 5pm today News

Sony has confirmed the Killzone 2 demo will be available later today.
"PSN updates vary, but hopefully around 5pm everyone should be able to download it," a spokesperson told Videogaming247.
You'll be able to explore two sections from the opening level, and try out the tutorial. The full game is out on 27th February, and it's a corker - read our review to find out why.
In the interests of anti-bias, and because it's lunchtime and we're too hungry to write two news stories when we could be making a sandwich, the Halo Wars demo is also out today. Right now, in fact - you can download it from Xbox Live.
Or, because you live in the Future, you can tell your computer to tell your 360 to download it via Xbox.com. Bet Judith Hann never saw THAT coming.

Whats the point of setting things to download things on my xbox from my PC at work? I'd have to be at home anyway to turn it on!??? Or am i missing something?

What if its switched off, but plugged in, it automatically boots up and starts downloading?

It does not look like a "Remote Start" is an option!

I don't believe you can remote start your XB, however you can buy stuff from the XBLM and it will be added to your download queue when you next boot your 360.
The advantage of this is that you can get home, press one button on the front of your 360 and the download will get going without you even having to turn on your TV. You could I suppose press the poer button twice, once to turn it on and again 30 seconds later to put it into "finish downloading and then switch off" mode. And give that said "half on half off" mode exists, I suspect it will only be a matter of time before remote boot is an option (when you do this with your PS3 it is never properly off but rather in a power saving mode, from which it can be booted remotely using a PSP, which is AWESOME btw :) ) |

From the FAQ it seems you have to manually switch on your xbox and log into live before it downloads.....
If it does switch it on, that is indeed awesome! If not, I Still think its rather pointless?? |

The advantage of the remote download is that I can queue up what I like then phone the wife and ask her to turn my 360 on. Before this feature the same phone call would last an hour while I tried talking her through finding what I wanted to download first. Halo Wars demo should be waiting for me when I get home, yay!

Yep exactly stepneg, was such a pain before, so much easier now.
One of my mates at work leaves his machine on when something big is due out so he can queue it up and get back home ready to play straight away. |

Hope my eBay purchase of said DC turns up today as well :) Hope so as it is going to take about 3 weeks to download the KZ2 demo. Halo Wars will have to wait as I can't spare the bandwidth.... unless PSN goes that shit. |

I seen on several german gaming sites early this morning rumors about multiplayer being in the demo. I was using a web translator but sony replied to the rumor something like " Let the customers believe what they want to but wouldn't it be more of a surprise if they waited to play it and then found out. Here's to hoping.
