Nobi Nobi Boy confirmed as PS3 exclusive.

The new game from Keita Takahashi, Nobi Nobi Boy, will be demoed at the Tokyo Game Show next week.

That's according to Kotaku, which also reports it'll be shown in video form only.

A shame, especially since it's been nearly a year since Takahashi let audience members try out the controls at Game City in Nottingham. Back then he said, "I haven't managed to explain it to anybody yet, not even my boss," and frankly we've still no idea.

Nobi Nobi Boy is a PS3 exclusive, that much we know; but Namco is still listing the release date as "undecided".

Surely they would change the name for a western release. Maybe the name will attract some attention actually, for extra sales and all that.

Hmm, it's entirely possible that this might sell me a PS3. Loved the Katamari games while he was still involved, so here's hoping this will have even just half the charm those games did.

The last year's videos were mental and the phsyics of the game, along with the very simple but lovely art direction suggest that NNB could really proove that Takakashi is much more than a one trick pony. Hwever, I still see no game in this. Katamari games were a demonstration of watertight game mechanics (around which you had lovely art direction wrapped around), based around a simple, yet deep idea and mathematics. We still don't know what actually is the idea for NNB. And I really hope that Takahashi does. This is the kind of a game that would sell me a PS3.
