Halo gun sneaks into Fable II
Powerful Assault Rifle clone found.
Lionhead has sneaked a copycat Halo Assault Rifle into the still-warm Knothole Island downloadable content for Fable II.
Kotaku spotted the weapon, which is received after trading in pure experience at the Box of Secrets.
The gun - Hal's Rifle - is rather powerful, dealing 59 damage per shot and holding a clip of 24 bullets. Peow peow. There's even an empty augment slot.
It also goes very nicely with Hal's Outfit and Hal's Sword, which are Fable II-styled replicas of Master Chief's armour and the Covenant Energy Sword from Halo.
Knothole Island was released yesterday on Xbox 360 for 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60). There's a free patch of identical size on offer, but this simply updates game versions so friends can continue to play together online - the new content is off-limits unless bought.
There are freebies, though, in the shape of Knight's Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion and a collectible silver book.
Look out for our thoughts on Knothole Island today.

Thanks for spoiling it.
I agree, the entire article, including the title, should have been in spoiler tags.
I'm going to DL it tonight before EG suck all the fun out of it.
